The January 2012 Beaver Beacon reports that 68 deer were checked during the 2011 rifle season and estimates the total take at about 100 after allowing for unrecorded animals. The checked animals were split evenly between does and bucks; an informal drive-by survey recorded nine does for every two bucks.
Evidence limits
The article describes an informal local count and estimate, not a complete harvest dataset or standardized wildlife survey.
