Summary

During the 2013 firearm season, the Beaver Island Wildlife Club organized deer checks for both bucks and does and solicited camp-survey observations. The program distributed state patches, used the boat dock and alternate local checkers, and accepted survey forms through December 5. An interim notice said the checked sample was skewed toward bucks. A December Chamber post described the season as good and credited landowner Quality Deer Management efforts and the Wildlife Club, but supplied no harvest total.

Evidence limits

The notices document the collection process and an interim observation, not a final harvest count, complete biological dataset, or later management decision. The positive season assessment is an attributed Chamber statement, not an independent wildlife assessment.

The Chamber linked a Boyne City Gazette feature with photographs of Liam Hodgson and Bob Turner and attributed a good whitetail season to landowner QDM efforts and the Beaver Island Wildlife Club. This is promotional community commentary and an external-media pointer, not a harvest total or independent wildlife assessment.
