Summary

Beaver Island Marina was a harbor-side business active in the early 2000s. A 2001 Charlevoix Courier advertisement and Beaver Beacon community reports in 2003–2004 establish the name and civic presence, while current OSM mapping puts marina amenities immediately beside Bay Street in St. James.

The held sources do not identify the operator, legal entity, or exact historical street address. The Bay Street relation is therefore a cautious spatial link, not a claim that every later marina or municipal dock used this name.

Sources

  1. Charlevoix Courier, 2001, Beaver Island graduation advertisement.
The advertisement names Beaver Island Marina and gives the email Pat@BeaverIslandMarina.com. It does not provide a street address or identify the operator. No public copy of this file is known; the archive holds one and can provide it on request.
  2. Reports a Beaver Island Marina letter to the St. James Township Board about a proposed fence around its contiguous beach property opposite Freesoil Avenue, establishing a local harbor-side business context.
  3. Lists a drink cup donated by the Beaver Island Marina, confirming the business was active in the community by 2004.
  4. Two current OSM amenity nodes are mapped at the harbor immediately beside Bay Street. The volunteered map confirms spatial proximity, not ownership, legal address, or continuity of operations.
