Summary
The 2017 Beaver Island Master Plan is the earlier Resilient Beaver Island long-range planning framework for Peaine and St. James townships. It covers natural resources, housing, infrastructure, economy/tourism, an Action Plan, and future land use and zoning policy.
The 2023 Plan describes itself as an update of this Resilient Beaver Island effort. This entry retains the 2017 document as historical planning evidence; the 2023 Plan is the later planning source for current-era recommendations.
Adoption and implementation limits
The held appendix records June 8, 2017 Planning Commission resolutions and their referral of the Plan to the respective township boards for final approval. It does not itself supply a later board-adoption instrument, current zoning text, appropriation, permit, or proof that an Action Plan item happened.

- Are the final 2017 township-board approval records available separately?
- Which 2017 Action Plan items were carried forward, revised, or dropped in the 2023 update?
- Which 2017 data tables or maps should be preserved as dated historical snapshots rather than reused as current conditions?
