Summary
On June 25, 2015, a forum participant reported an apparently injured loon on West Side Road near the Fox Lake turnoff. Follow-up posts attributed to the Charlevoix County Loon Rangers described capturing the adult loon and moving it to Greene’s Lake, where it swam and dove normally before the rescuers left.
Evidence limits
The rescue account is a contemporaneous first-person community report, not a wildlife-agency incident report. It establishes the reported intervention and immediate observation, but not the bird’s later condition or the reason it had come ashore.
