Summary

The July 2011 Beacon‘s township report covers St. James and Peaine actions on ferry replacement, community septic repairs, Phragmites funding, the Whiskey Island swap, assessment, appointments, temporary Whiskey Point tower protection, and a proposed Natural Resources and Ecotourism Steering Committee. The August issue reports the next meeting cycle, including septic capacity and connection discussion, mileage reimbursement, marina reservations, flagpole and waterfront proposals, the approved NRESC resolution, the Forest View and Veterans’’ Park commendations, Phragmites mapping, and revised Driving Guide printing.
