   The Library identifies its reading room and services at 1200 S. Franklin St., Mount Pleasant, and Central Michigan University says the Clarke is located in the Park Library building. This supplies the current repository location, not proof that the 1954 founding collection occupied this exact building.

   The mapped Park Library point is used as the current repository’s approximate map location; it is not a claim about the historical location of every collection or about a Beaver Island site.

   The Library’s history says Dr. Norman E. Clarke Sr. donated his historical collection to Central Michigan College on February 2, 1954, creating the Clarke Historical Library. It describes the founding collection and later institutional development.

   The held collection introduction says Collar’s research materials were donated after her 1996 death, that Clarke preserved the original notes, and that it made selected card transcriptions available online. It does not describe all of the Library’s holdings or services.
