Summary
The project holds the eight family-tree diagrams embedded in Clarke Historical Library’s public presentation of Helen Collar’s biographical papers. They were previously catalogued as image references only; the held GIFs and manifest now make them auditable visual evidence alongside the text transcriptions.
Evidence boundary
The diagrams are researcher-created genealogical aids, not civil, parish, or census originals. Their labels can identify a candidate relationship or narrow a search, but relationships are added to person records only after a human reading of the specific diagram and, where feasible, corroboration from an underlying record. In particular, a diagram’s family label does not license merging every same-named person in this archive.
One concrete non-merge is now recorded: the Gallagher-labelled diagram attached to the Kitty Gallagher entry visibly labels a “James Napper Tandy Gallagher 1898”. That is not the project’s James Napper Tandy Gallagher, whose 1972 family account says he drowned off Arranmore before the family’s Beaver Island migration. The diagram’s 1898 label is retained as a distinct, unresolved later namesake rather than extending or replacing the Arranmore record.
