Summary
“The Beaver” was the surplus Beaver aircraft used for Beaver Island medical evacuations in June 1974. The May–June Beaver Beacon reports its first flight on June 18 and its second within the following week, on June 24.
Evidence and limits
The held sources establish the aircraft’s local emergency-service role and two flights. They do not supply a registration, serial number, owner, complete pilot roster, model verification beyond the March report’s U6A wording, or later disposition. The December hangar report shows planned housing for the aircraft but does not prove the hangar was completed or occupied.
